How to Remove a White Background from Clip Art in PowerPoint Easily

Below is a scope by @brookebrowntpt that I thought was helpful. She just discovered another PowerPoint feature that is pretty awesome. You know how some clipart, ususally .jpgs, have a white box around the image? Well in this scope she shows you how to remove it. Most newer clip art images are .png's and don't have the white box but a lot of the older clip art does. Brooke has just saved a lot of older clip art from the dumper with her easy to do PowerPoint fix.

Oodles of Halloween Page Dividers

I can't believe it's almost October. I just looked out the window and noticed the leaves are starting to fall. Oh my! Speaking of October, I have been working on these two Halloween page divider sets and finally got them into my store. They're both 50% off for the first 48 hours, so if you like them why not get both. The bright Halloween colors coordinate perfectly. Click on either image to view in my TpTstore.

You've been Framed! New Creative Clip Art for Commercial/Personal Use

I've added lots of new frame and background paper collections to my TpT Store. In fact, I've added so many new clip art collections that I can't show them all here. So after checking these out head over to my store and see the rest. Most of my collections mix & and match pretty well so they are easy to use. In the graphic above I've used a frame from my "Funky Chunky" frame collection and a paper from my "Scratched White Line" paper collection. I think they look great together. Don't you? Oh and one more thing. Make sure you don't miss the fun freebie at the bottom of this post. Thanks for stopping by!

The Element Separator: A Clip Art Artist's Best Friend

I create most of my clip art with Photoshop Elements. When I'm creating clip art I usually work on all of the images at the same time. Sometimes I have a couple of collections going all at once. I love the creation process. I can easily lose myself for hours. What I always hated was separating all of the final images, especially if it was a letter/number collection. I like my images to be clipped at the edge so there is no extra space around it. Makes it so much easier to work with.

Well one day while surfing the web I came across what has to be my best purchase EVER! It's called the "Element Separator" by creation Cassell.  Best $6.00 I ever spent. It's an action that separates all of the images for you.
All you have to do is drag the .jsx file on top of the images you want to separate and in a short period of time they are all separated and in a folder on your computer. On a recent letter/number product it took less than 2 minutes to separate over 150 images. What a time saver!

From this
to this!
You do have to change the names after or you can use the ones the file creates. My customers like having the specific names of each image so I usually change mine.

If you have never used an action like this all of the directions are included. They also have a version for Paintshop Pro.

I know there are probably other actions like this out there but I'm using "Element Separator"  and I love it.
